    Did Leonard cherrypick Hagler?

Did he wait until he got older and saw some slippage in him? why did he not take the fight earlier? he even held a press conference where Hagler thought he would announce the fight only to announce his retirement? so was it a cherrypick?

Slippage? What? He saw flaws in his game against Mugabi that he thought his style could exploit.

Hagler just came off the Hearns KO.

The nerve of him to have his come back fight against Marvin Hagler!

I think he did after he saw Mugabi fight he saw Hagler wasnt the same. But SRL also had detached retina and came back to fight a middleweight he wasn't that prime neither.

The Sugar definitely waited until Marvin got older. I would not call it a cherry pick. But he waited for a reason.

Cherry pick my ass!...Hagler was sanctioned to knock his block off but
            couldn't do it..Don't blame Ray...he was off 5 years etc..It was Hagler's
job as champ to get Ray out of there!....and he didn't do it.

As much as I wish I could say he did, and while Leonard did admit to only wanting to fight Hagler after seeing slippage in in the Mugabi fight, the man was retired with a serious eye problem for 3 years. You can't possibly call that a cherrypick. Especially when people thought Hagler would kill Leonard.

                yeah he did.

but at least he didn't have chavez come up from lightweight when he came out of retirement.

LMAO. If Sugar Ray fought like a "*****", then you'd consider Floyd to be a $5 street hooker from Atlantic City the way he'd fight Hagler.
