Originally posted by ColdBloodedIt would require Garcia to move up in weight. That for me is the reason I want to see an Uchiyama fight first. I want Garcia to stick around at 130. If Gamboa is willing to fight at 130, then I suppose it wouldn't be a problem for Garcia to fight him first. But I'm personally more interested in an Uchiyama fight.

"I want to move up to 135-pounds and he wants to fight at 130-pounds," Garcia said.

Gamboa ducked bum bum now Mickey ducked Gamboa payback I guess lol. Anyways who in there right mind thinks Gamboa deserves this fight he hasn't looked good in years. Mickey unifying belts and possibly becoming lineal champ is better than fighting Gamboa.

?Pero porque Mikey esta hablando sobre una pelea con Uchiyama o con otros? Que paso con la negocion con Gamboa? Por favor no me diga que tenemos una otra tremenda pelea que no va a pasar!
But why is Mikey talking about a fight with Uchiyama or with others? What happened to the negotiation with Gamboa? Please don't tell me that we have other tremendous fight that will not happen!

Mikey is too stiff and too flat-flooted to beat an athlete like Gamboa.
At the end of the day, what matters is what Team Garcia thought about the matchup, and apparently they didn't like Mikey's chances.
