Comments Thread For: Mikey Garcia’s Trainer: Mikey Wants to Unify the Titles

Robert Garcia, trainer and brother of 130-pound titleholder Mikey Garcia, spoke with BoxingScene.com on March 28.

    BoxingScene.com: What’s next for Mikey?

Robert Garcia: “We don’t have anything scheduled. We had a meeting with Top Rank. They’re working on a date. We don’t have a date yet. A date and opponent — we don’t have anything. The fight with Gamboa was pretty much not a done deal, but it was close to being done. It looks like that date, Marquez-Alvarado took that date, and now we’re waiting to see what happens.” [Click Here To Read More]

jaja. These Mickey belongs to a generation if duckers, protected and coward champions nowadays. He better go to Japan and hide from Gamboa. He said Gambia was the problem but later everybody knew that he and his team was the problem and mainly because they are afraid. Like this and Canelo every bum can be a champion, facing only bums meanwhile are protected behind promoters and bla bla bla. This attitude is a disgrace for the sport where you can be a champion without facing the real opponents and only fighting bums suitable for you to win. What a disgrace

Both of you are scared of Cubans boxer . Son UNOs punticos q no dan bateo .

jaja. Another excuse. The way they handle Gamboa challenge shows clearly how afraid they are. Probably you may think Garcia is a champion but for me a champion is boxing can't be a coward protected
