It's cool if you're on Mikey's side. All I said was this fight is not getting done because he wants a lot of money.

I would think he's lieing if it favored his fighter and not the other guy who left him. He kinda threw Mikey under the bus IMO.

Seems 100% logical, doesn't it? Why would Arum lie that Mikey wanted all this money? And why would he lie that HBO wouldn't sign a deal for Garcia unless Gamboa was the opponent?

Yeah, it's really simple. Mikey's pricing himself out of a fight with Gamboa. Some think it's fair, others don't but it doesn't change the fact that he's asking for too much money.

He never lies, because he covers his ass. Lawyer speak is what he does. "The boys daddy said...", "People who know boxing better than me say..." Head for the round house, Bob, they can't corner him there.

As reported by Steve Kim, Mikey priced himself out.

I seriously wonder if I ever go into denial mode like this. lol The Steve Kim article and the Boxingscene article, where Arum is quoted as saying HBO wasn't interested in any other fight but Gamboa, are pretty hard to dismiss. Team Garcia ducked Gamboa.
