I wanted the Gamboa fight too, but its not like hes not fighting Gamboa to fight some bum, if he beats Uchiyama does that make him the lineal champion?

Lopez may not be better than Gamboa, but he's probably a bigger puncher. If it's a question of Gamboa or Uchiyama, the question is: Who is more accomplished at 130? Who is a bigger puncher? Who is a top level fighter?
Whatever a team member does is transferred to him, so if someone in his team with enough power to avoid the fight is afraid them he is afraid . For me they are afraid as the main reason for ducking Gamboa. I can't know what they have seem in Gamboa for being afraid while they are not afraid of Uchiyama. Is reasonable to think they know that Gamboa has the tools to win Mickey on speed, power and defense while they believe that Uchiyama don't. What is unacceptable is champions are ducking and being protected. For sure Gamboa is a better fighter than the one he has been fighting, so I can't imagine a valid excuse besides being afraid

Cowards don't fight guys like Salido, Burgos, and possibly Uchiyama. By the way, what when was Gamboa's last win over a top fighter? Wasn't it Ponce de Leon over two years ago? Gamboa hasn't beaten a single top ten fighter in his current weight class (135) or the previous one (130). Why would Garcia's team be afraid of a fighter like Gamboa who constantly gets hit with counters and dropped?
Why don't you ask them? This is the second time they avoid Gamboa...

Then, he and Garcia could fight. But as it stands now, Gamboa isn't a proven top fighter at 130 or 135.
Again. Whenever you say that Gamboa is not good I'll ask you why then Mickey or the team, whichever be, is afraid of him. If Gamboa is in bad shape or has nothing to show they should fight him because with Gambia there is no excuse about selling the fight because he sells.

Ya i like that idea but i think Gamboa should go down to 130, If Mikey becomes the Lineal champion the Gamboa fight would be better, cause If Gamboa wins that fight hes back on top as the man of that division. Gamboa at 135 is small and its way harder from him to win with the champions at 135 in my opinion same as Mikey i don't think he would beat the top champions in 135.

You looks like a reasonable guy. I don't want to insist on something but I respectfully only will say this attitude on todays boxing is unacceptable. Champions are kidnapping the belts hiding behind promoters. The right attitude is to fight the best always and is not acceptable he fought last year JuanMa and some fighter with lower skills than Gamboa and now he is ducking Gambia at any expense. For me this unacceptable

Then Salido was one of the best fighters at 126. Then, Rocky Martinez was a top ten 130lber in Garcia's first fight at the weight class. Then Burgos was an even better 130lber with very solid skills and difficult physical attributes. His style (tall, rangy, fast, and powerful mover who throws a lot of punches, has solid outside boxing skills, and very good inside boxing skills) is a tough matchup for a shorter counterpuncher. I don't think unifying with Uchiyama and establishing a lineal 130 lb champion qualifies as ducking. It would be a significant step up in competition for Garcia. Uchiyama is a very dangerous fighter. After Uchiyama, I'd want Garcia to either unify further at 130 or fight Gamboa.
Is all about perception and opinions, but in mine Gamboa is better than Salido and he won Salido and also I believe he has a better tool set than Burgos. I agree Uchiyama is good, so is better he start to fight good oponents instead of looking former champions. Gamboa btw is undefeated.
I hope some day this fight will happen because so many people like me think he duck Gamboa in the worst manner. He should never had to said that the issue was on Gamboa's side when the truth is he didn't wanted the fight. This manipulation on his team make me also thinks that probably the issue between Gamboa and Rios had manipulation, because they tried to do it again but this time Gamboa had public relationist and more resources to unveil the lie.
