Kovalev's only hope for a big fight now is Pascal in Canada and the seemingly slim chance that Ward moves up in the near future. Otherwise the guy is going to be stuck fighting mismatches that do nothing for him.

I imagine he has to be pissed. Duva took him to HBO for Stevenson, and Stevenson's punk ass ran for the hills immediately.

You believe Pascal and Stevenson only good fighters at 175? Dozens in top 50 world wide. Kovalev can fight many. As knockout/winning streak continues interest continues to accrue.

I just took a look and there really isn't much at 168 or 175 for Kovalev. Its like there are no B level guys where it would make acceptable since. Who would you think would be an acceptable opponent for Kovalev? Normally I would agree thats the way to go, just keep beating the hell out of the best available. But its really a ghost town outside of the top fighters.
