I think they must be getting the money from guys like Canelo, who incidentally is not an haymon fighter. They paid him 1.25 mil which seems too little considering how many ppvs the Angulo card sold.

PPVs work differently, the promotion usually assumes all the risk and Canelo had a very high PPV%

Showtime has too many fighters. How are they going to put on enough fights to get all of these guys on the network? Where is Showtime going to get the billion dollar budget to sustain all of the fighters?

They might think they are running the game now but the bottom will fall out soon. Guys will start to leave because they will be sitting on the self for so long.

Kovalev vs ward - good fight

Nah Ward I think is out of his league. I want him to get his shot though.

Kovalev's only hope for a big fight now is Pascal in Canada and the seemingly slim chance that Ward moves up in the near future. Otherwise the guy is going to be stuck fighting mismatches that do nothing for him.

I imagine he has to be pissed. Duva took him to HBO for Stevenson, and Stevenson's punk ass ran for the hills immediately.
