Tony Thompson is not that good; he's just been matched up against the right mediocre opponents. Thompson has a deceivingly good defense but his offensive prowess is dismal. I wasn't impressed by his last performance where he seemed to 'push' most of his punches and play 'patty cake' with his half a$$ed jab.

I'd agree with this. None have set themselves apart really.

I suppose at least with Jennings and Wilder they havent found their ceiling yet, whereas Thompson and Arreola we know arent good enough for the best few fighters in the division

I'd say Arreola. It'd be interesting to see how he deals with Stiverne this time.

At least I think that's what's going on with this kid and that's why its interesting as opposed to watching these other guys who would have a tuff time with me at my delicate age now hahahaha!

He has more talent than the others, if he leaves himself open its not from lack of talent. If he continues to weight over 220-225 that's not lack of talent that's lack of focus and desire.
............get my drift? I want to see talented fighters, on the other hand theres Mayweather with all the talent and he fights like a puzzy. I don't want to watch anyone doing half azzed even when they have talent. I damn sure doin't want to watch Cris Arreola or Seth Mitchell they have NO talent!

A agree with this. I also like mansour as he has power in both hands and has good economy of movement to account for his age. Ruiz has real skills and attributes and will change physically which can be for the better.

I also have to give props to Tony T. Thompson is a fabulous fighter and should be a prime gate keeper, if the division was any good. Tony has no speed left though and Manseur and Ruiz still have weapons.

I can't figure out why people are so irrate about Ruiz's weight. He is very young still and losing weight. The heavyweight division is not necessarily particular to Mesomorphs... James Toney pretty much cleaned out the division for a while throwing more punches per a round than the statuesque Rahman for example.....

I voted Jennings as I think he is the most skilled of that group.

            Arreola's time is up.

Wilder has immense power but I'm not sure how rounded he is, we never get to see enough of him.

Thompson is a wiley fox and keeps going but we've seen him take steps up and lose, but he is obviously a top 5 American heavy.

Right now it's probably Thompson but obviously the two focuses are Jennings and Wilder. Jennings seems legit but Wilder is a true wildcard and could be the best. We won't know until Wilder is really tested.

I used to think Jennings was going to be the next heavy weight champ. In one of his fights about half a year or more ago he was knocked down by a below average opponent. The knockdown was ruled a slip but the replay clearly showed knockdown.
Jennings went on to knock the guy out in a later round but if he were to go up against anyone on this last he will get knocked out. He has a weak chin which has yet to be exposed.
