They werent pointless fights. LOL. Ortiz was big af, and 24 yrs old. He was 164lbs and was number 2 at ww. Before Floyd fought Ortiz he fought Mosley who was 'Old' Ortiz was supposed to be bigger, younger, stronger. Lampley said no one would fight Ortiz, then when Floyd chose him, he said Floyd was fighting him because he didnt have a jab GTFO.

Ghost wasnt a pointless fight either. Floyd changed his entire style in order to beat him. Canelo wasnt drained either. Now name a fighter in history that can fight this variety of styles and dominate them all without being grazed....

And btw, Cotto was a shot bum when Floyd fought him. He got destroyed by Margarita and Pacman. And was coming off an unimpressive victory against Margarita. Cotto is his least impressive victory. Ortiz, Ghost, Canelo all were in their prime and had completely different styles.

The one thing I will say is that Floyd is comfortable fighting the fights that make the most sense financially, not out to take the toughest fights he can. And it's been like this since he was able to call his own shots and not have to fight the mandatory challengers.

In the grand scheme of things, all these f.uckin "tough fights" and "great challenges are flash in the pan boxers.

At this point, this "legendary" boxer should be giving us the legendary fights.

Pick a reasonable name on the P4P Top ten. Find a weight, fight the fight. Or f.uckin retire if you can't find the suitable.
