I mean look ive talked to both casuals and hardcore fans and most dont even know who kovalov,or stevenson are for that matter...wut does that tell you about a fight between the 2?everyone on nsb will watch,but wut about everyone outside of nsb??everyone knows hopkins and like you say history would be on the line as well aside from 3 belts,and the universally recognized belt..who do you think would do bigger ratings hopkins vs stevenson,or kovalov vs stevenson?either prime time,or ppv buys?be honest

Honestly I think the Hopkins fight would be slightly more lucrative.. His brand is much bigger than kovolev..

When it comes to the general public, they don't know what the best fights are to make, but they do know a guy like Hopkins who has been around forever and been in a bunch of big PPv fights
Similar to how ggg-serg is the best fight at mw, but cotto the most lucrative
