Most people who actually know the sport do not have Kovalev number 1 in the division....You're mistaking biased Pizza Hut employees who troll on youtube for people who know boxing.

Kovalev is still unproven. And until otherwise he should be ranked under the 3 fighters I listed. Kovalev is an unproven foreign hype job until further notice.

Hahaha. He mad as ****. I understand your pain. Its hard work defending a duck.

More an avoidance than anything depends on how things playout.

If you were to poll fans it would be a majority who'd prefer Kovalev over Hopkins but this could be the only best way to get a definitive undisputed champ at 75.

Let's say Stevenson fights/beats Hopkins for his 2 belts that would put him in position to command bigger purse and a possible winner take all bout w/Kovalev guessing everyone would forgive/forget if that scenario played out.

But if he goes on to deny Kovalev a shot If he's still undefeated clearly the biggest threat then quack quack.

Hard to say. Clearly Showtime is throwing big numbers at these guys. Might just be a matter of money and a business plan. I'm confident his first motivation for signing this deal was not to avoid an opponent.

I hate saying a guy ducked when it is usually a money/business type move...

But when adonis was asked about a kovolev fight, he stuttered and started rambling about froch and hopkins, and his hometown fans booed him,,,

He has never spoken Kovolev's name which truely shows you that its a duck

I wouldn't mind if he was actually fighting Hopkins or Froch in his next fight. Those are two big money fights.

Instead he's fighting some bum for way less money than he would've got against Kovalev - clear as day duck.

IF he beats Hopkins he'll fight Pascal next. Pascal shares the same promoter as Stevenson and after the little stunt they just pulled HBO isn't too happy so expect to see Pascal migrating to Showtime as well. And it will be the same exact excuses "Pascal brings more money!" All the Boxingscene accountants will justify it too saying it's a way bigger fight in Canada etc etc etc.

Boxingscene accountants defend Stevenson picking Fonfara over Kovalev. Top notch accountants we have here

Nah he wont fight Pascal because he wont fight a haitian brother. Pretty much if stevenson's next two fights arent hopkins/shumie winner and kovalev it's easily one of the top 5 ducks of all time.
