You should read what I said~, I certainly don't want HBO to get out dimwit and I certainly don't want them to fail. I give a **** if Showtime is better or not, although they may be the last one standing but that kills competition which is bad for the sport.

HBO looks to be cutting their investment in boxing, putting in less money means it is not important to them, so it is not a far leap to see them getting out because they just don't care and can put the money to better sue elsewhere~

If you can't talk to the thread at hand shut the **** up, if you want to try and prove me wrong be my guest but don't be a ****ing clown
I don't blame HBO for cutting their investment. Too much in-fighting between promoters, fighters overpricing their worth, the shaky nature of Boxing's future post Pacquiao and Mayweather, the rise of other combat sports stealing away some of the market audience. Too much uncertainty to make a smart investment.

As sad as it is to say, unless we have some revolutionary changes in the way the sport is run, Boxing will begin to die a slow death.

People can read between the lines.

Shouldn't expect any better from a Floyd fan tho.

That is not downplaying HBO, is HBO what they once were in boxing?

Most people here aren't even smart enough to keep up with the lines I type, so they shouldn't even attempt to go beyond that.

I know it is hard to believe but this is an honest concern of mine, so either get with the program or get off my ****

longer than showtime that's for sure. HBO has higher spending limits and bigger names associated with it

Boxing can make it and with or without HBO boxing will survive although it will hurt for a long time.

Boxing does always look shaky as the old stars die, but they always get replaced and HBO to be honest has been the one mostly in charge of that for the last 3 decades. Plus with the way people are looking at head injuries now, boxing can only stay safe from that for so long as people don't like watching dudes get put in comas.

Boxing is a risky investment though you are right about that, I certainly don't blame HBO they need to do what is best for their bottom line, it will just suck if boxing is not a part of it longer term not like they will get rid of it tomorrow .

It is an observation, clown shoes~

I am not passing off anything as fact, you don't agree fine, you seem awfully emotional over something that I see that may or may not happen.

In fact I hope I am wrong and have said as much, now run along and don't forget to wear you walking around helmet~

Well some one definitely messed up. They let go of Pacquiao momentarily, they let go of Cotto for a couple of fights, they let go of Mayweather permanently, the biggest draw in boxing. They let go of GBP as a stable entirely, which lead to losing out on Mayweather vs Canelo, the richest fight in boxing history. Who ever says HBO is doing a good job is falling into their label that they are trying to call you, a network/promoter fanboy. They messed up some where, and they have several of my favorite fighters like Ward, Dawson, JMM, Rigondeaux, so i'm not hating.

With that said, Cotto vs Martinez and Gamboa vs Garcia can revive HBO instantly, they also have fights like GGG vs Chavez Jr in the making which would bring fireworks, and Kovalev vs Stevenson would gain hardcore fans interest.

I wish GBP and Paulie were with HBO. they know how to promote boxing. their 24 7 is way better than the 360 crap. Shoe sports is more for mainstream stuff like NBA, NFL and NCAA.

A lot can happen in the time frame I am talking about, HBO can certainly get everything back and more with a few things breaking their way. Which would be great for boxing, I have watched boxing on HBO for 20 years (more than 20 years but I don't want to go to far back because you can't truly follow boxing at a young age even if you watch plenty) I certainly still enjoy their broadcasts as I like watching all boxing.

I just feel I am seeing the writing on the wall and it concerns me, I thought it was an interesting topic I guess some people can't handle it though~

The guys you attracted are hardcore TR fanboys. Two posters in particular, who were very vocal in this thread, felt Canelo-Angulo was fixed.
