I don't worry about HBO too much. Their boxing division is just bonus to their subscribers. HBO viewers subscribe not because of boxing. So don't worry about it.
How Long is HBO Going to Stay in the Boxing Business?

i guess this is the norm nowadays...a fanboy of a certain fighter automatically becomes a fanboy of the promoter or network connected to his idol.
and pretending to be business expert too...pathetic

Boxing is much more important to Showtime's business model than HBO. HBO is relying on their shows and doesnt appear to be all that interested in boxing even though the cards still do decent ratings. Boxing is Showtime's second biggest product behind Homeland.Comment

That is a suspect group of stars compared to HBO's normal dossier. All those guys are 30 and really the only one with major upside potential is Golovkin and I think you could really debate his potential but you never know he could be the next Manny it is possible it is asking a lot but it is possible. I do like Garcia I do think he can be big for the smaller classes, but he has been rising fast through the classes and I don't know if he can maintain that same level hopefully he does though because he does have it.i dont think they are looking to get out of the business, they seem to be making cutbacks though which is a shame. as for stars who still have plenty of years left they still got GGG, ward, garcia, donaire, bradley etc just to name a few.
idk why they let stevenson go so easily, big mistake despite his age.
The thing is though if they are looking to cut back how long is it before they say **** it, why bother lets just trash the boxing budget and make 2 new sweet shows that will get them more viewers. Lowering their investment is a bad sign.Comment

Even Dan Rafael is wondering why HBO got cheap. They have the right to match Showtime's offer, it's in their contract with Stevenson.
And Adonis vs Kovalev is probably the biggest fight they can make at that network. If they aren't willing to pay to get it done then exactly which fights are they going to pay big $$$ for?Comment

What kind of babbling bull**** is this?
You should read what I said~, I certainly don't want HBO to get out dimwit and I certainly don't want them to fail. I give a **** if Showtime is better or not, although they may be the last one standing but that kills competition which is bad for the sport.
HBO looks to be cutting their investment in boxing, putting in less money means it is not important to them, so it is not a far leap to see them getting out because they just don't care and can put the money to better sue elsewhere~
If you can't talk to the thread at hand shut the **** up, if you want to try and prove me wrong be my guest but don't be a ****ing clownComment

People can read between the lines.
Shouldn't expect any better from a Floyd fan tho.
