Solis obviously never had the dedication. Did he have the talent? I think he did. But, like you said, because of that combination, Solis was never actually "good." Wherever he goes now, Odlanier isn't likely to have the opportunities he's had up to this point. I'm sure that even Oner is disgusted with him. The promoter said in a recent interview that the Thompson fight would prove whether Solis was an investment or just wasted money.

Solis lost the fight , no doubt . Pedro trained him for the most part , they split 1 week or two prior to the fight , so there is no excuse why solis lost it.
Maybe now , solis makes the changes he needs to get to the top if it is not too late . Hope it isn't .Comment

I was always impressed with Solis defense and how relaxed in the ring he was. He could fight again and make enough to earn a living for a while just because he doesn't get beat up but I highly doubt he is going to be a top level fighter.Comment

Bullpucky
After training camp and you still need your trainer to help you fight ? That's such Bull...I believe you should know what to do and adapt if needed if you're a professional...If not, what the hell are you doing at that level !Comment

The truth. Solis could get away with half-assing it versus sub-par opposition. The moment he took a step up, he was doomed to failure. No way a slow, 42 year old fighter should've beaten Solis. But he did....Comment
