He was at peak boxing age, mentally and physically, this was his biggest fight to date, on a big stage, for an eliminator title to set things up for the world title, and he came in at something staggering like 300 pounds nearly. This was the fight that was meant to show him off and to set him up for great things, at 28 or 29, with everything in the world to gain....and he comes in like a fat **** that's sat on his couch and munched on twinkies watching Oprah all day for training. Guys that want it, are brutal in those fights in that stage of their careers. If they don't have it then, they never, ever have it.
When I saw him for the Klitschko fight a couple of years later, I knew that no matter what happened from then out, he was never going to amount to anything. Not even going to win a ****ty paper title and be considered a half decent heavyweight.
