/thread. ............He's very good for his fighters and if I was an aspiring boxer, he would be the one i would turn to.
However, we can't say for sure he isn't a bloodsucker. In fact, he most probably is. Harvard Grads don't get into the sport for altruistic reasons. He gets his cut. Same as Arum. Sure, he gets his fighters great TV dates.....but so does Arum.
As for Pac signing with him.....eh. It would be good in the sense that the Floyd fight would get made but let's keep it real, Haymon's loyalty is with Maweather so one way or another, Manny would get screwed in the negotiations.Comment

yea!!!!
screw fighting top 10 p4p fighters in the entire sport. that's not how you build legacies. Its about the robert guerreros, victor ortiz, and amir khan's leftovers of the world that make your resume.
because floyd cares a lot about legacy.

Haymon's stable was a very short list in those days, he was not putting his fighters against each other at the time. Haymon fighters fighting eachother happened in recent years, certainly not 2006-2011. If it did, it was rare between two relatively unpopular fighters, which I can't even think of from the top of my head despite me being around throughout those times.Comment

I don't usually get into debates about fighters finances, I just want them to get paid well because this is a rough sport - and Manny gets paid plenty well. And obviously, the fan in me still wants to see Pac-Floyd.
However, we all know Manny would get ****d financially by Haymon and Mayweather should this unlikely scenario ever play out. And I don't really enjoy the idea of Mayweather's greedy ass exploiting Pac.Comment

Exactly. Manny signing with Haymon is basically a tail between his legs for a Floyd fight move.I don't usually get into debates about fighters finances, I just want them to get paid well because this is a rough sport - and Manny gets paid plenty well. And obviously, the fan in me still wants to see Pac-Floyd.
However, we all know Manny would get ****d financially by Haymon and Mayweather should this unlikely scenario ever play out. And I don't really enjoy the idea of Mayweather's greedy ass exploiting Pac.
Floyd: "Join me, otherwise we can't fight."
Manny: "**** all that, I'll have no leverage."
Floyd: "join me, or else."
Manny: "Fuggit, where do I sign?"Comment
