How would Canelo do at middleweight?

His last fight was technically at MW being at 155lbs but I think he's growing out of the LMW division, so how would he fare at 160lbs against:

Sturm, Geale, Murray, Martinez, Quillin and Golovkin?

Who would he beat and who would beat him?

Also, would he beat Rubio in an all-Mexican match-up?

I think Canelo will fight in between jr and mw. Contracted negotiated weights of like 155, 56, 57. Like he was doing before remember? He would fight at 150 pounds, in between ww and jr mw. As for how he would do at full mw, idk. I think he could whip Quillins ass though.

To be honest, I think he can beat everyone except Golovkin. Quillin hasn't impressed. Martinez has become very fragile. Geale would be a competitive fight, but I'd still favor Canelo. Haven't seen Murray fight to often so I don't know.

Rubio? You serious? He's a gatekeeper at best and is made to order for a guy like Canelo. I wouldn't give him much of a chance.

The Middleweight division isn't exactly stacked right now.

Cant say he would do good. He's in a tough spot. Too big for JMW and will be small at MW.

Sort of like Broner at WW. Too big for 130 and 135 but was small at 147.

I'd only pick Golovkin over him.

He probably beats Quillin. He could be competitive against the likes of Murray, Macklin, Geale, and Sturm. Maybe beat some of them. Martinez and Golovkin slaughter him, though.

Think he would be competitive with most in the division, but wouldn't fancy him to beat the real top end fighters like Martinez or Golovkin. But I would change my opinion of course if Cotto beats Maravilla.

Thing is, Alvarez rehydrates into the 170s. That's about what middleweights rehydrate to. So weight wise, he is a middleweight.

Guess I'm alone on this one. I'd maybe make him the favorite over Geale. Maybe Sturm. I'm sure he'd be competitive, but I'd favor most of that list to beat him.
