Here's an idea to make Thurman more marketable for Floyd.

To really get buzz going for Thurman, they need to keep him busy vs lesser guys that he can ko, and learn his craft..
Lucas and ggg both created huge buzz by fighting and dominating lesser opponents, same blueprint should be used for Thurman..

Lucas was fighting some beasts, and he knocked out a stud in Peterson.

And that's not their blue print for GGG. It's called ducking.

If it was up to GGG, he'd have fought Geale and Martinez by now.

Also, you seem to not understand what I'm getting at. Why is Khan a predetermined fight for Floyd??? Why does he get a "soft touch" on his under card???

Why does Thurman have to go through all the guys you're talking about, but Khan, who hasn't even fought at the full WW limit get fast tracked to Floyd?

That's why I'm suggesting Thurman fight Khan for Floyd. It covers every basis. Thurman beats the cash cow, and gets the Maidana/Broner love. Khan wins, Floyd/Khan is EPIC.

If Maidana "earned" it with Lopez and Broner, then Zaveck, Chaves, Karass, and Khan should be enough for Thurman.

Also consider, Thurman is an actual WW. Maidana's not even a WW in my book. He's just a really strong guy that likes to eat.

He can fight a winner of Paulie/Porter. Get that belt and defend against Ghost or Alexander. Not limiting to those names but high profile championship fight. He does that and wins then by next year he will the name that everyone wants.
