I have a question for boxing fans. I was wondering since Mayweather hasn't given us a fan appreciation fight since his Ricky Hatton bout in 2007. Do you expect him to settle down more with combination punching by trading with Marcos Maidana or just simply outpointing him with movement, clinching and landing single counters and punches at a time? So I am just curious to know what do you all think? Will he fight or just box to an easy 12 round victory?
Do you expect Floyd Mayweather to give us a crowd pleasing fight on May 3?

He will counter Maidana over and over again. I doubt he will go to war with him.
The fact he is expected to win so easily puts the pressure on him to get the win. And with Floyd, he wont take major risks to please the fans.
So im not sure if he will throw combos if Maidana is punching with him. Its too much of a risk. Unless he is out of range.
Another UD i think. The excitement will come from Maidana who will push the action all night.Comment

That was a very hotly contested fight. Hatton was able to effectively cut off the ring against Floyd; Thereby, forcing him to fight at a much faster pace than usual. In that particular bout, Mayweather was actually forced to dig deep and bite down by putting combination punches together in order to fight Ricky off of him and subsequently stopping him.Comment

I agree in spurts, Cotto was very effective but his detriment was that he was too inconsistent. He had his moments though, however he was never able to sustain an effective rhythm or attack against Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
He would press Mayweather along the ropes for a single round then relent. Then he would effectively out box and out jab Mayweather for a single round and then once again would relent as well. The problem with your assessment is that Miguel lacked the stamina and cardio to fight like that for the full twelve rounds.
He arguably lost at least 9 of those 12 rounds.Comment
