Ill admit, Wilder has really freakish power and he's probably one of the top 3 quickest heavyweights. But I'd like to see him get some rounds under his belt. Maybe there will be someone in the future who can takeaway that right hand. Someone who can take him deep into the fight past the 6th or 8th round, then what. Will he be able to rely on his power?

He shows promise, but I need to see more.

Wilder is finishing his opponents more quickly as he is stepping up.

Expect Arreloa-Stiverne winner to be wiped out in less than a minute and Wlad to be destroyed at the opening bell.

Wilder needs more experience, he needs to fight someone with a horrible style (Clinching, hugging) to be able to target someone like Wlad. He should fight the Chisora/Fury winner next and let's see how he does.

I been skeptical after watching in several times & I always focused on the right hand which didn't hit him cleanly but the left hook hit him on the ear & I think that is what did the damage. watching it in slow motion you can see the sweat splashing off his face after the hook before the right. he hit him pretty good & if that punch did rattle his brain then wilder has some pretty uncanny power. last night I was thinking bruce seldon all over again but watching it again this morning I focused on the left hook & that did hit him cleanly. it's not just the right hand that is a problem he has that power in both hands. it is going to be hard to beat him. audley Harrison, firtha, liakhovich & malik scott are decent wins. I changed my tune on the fight last night as all the focus was on the wrong punch. it wasn't the right at all, it was the left hook to the temple. i'm not sure he is ready for arreola or stiverne but he will be getting the winner so we will see what happens when he takes on a A level opponent as both arreola & stiverne are top 10 guys in the world.

Yeah, I'm sure you are all broken up about it. Good thing he wasn't fighting Rick James, he slaps a lot harder.

It was a set up left hand slap before the right came in

I don't think the fight was fixed I just think Malik is a quitter and didn't fancy getting whooped

Wilder aerola would be class or wilder fury

It was a clean hook with brutal power. Deontay is a beast - no doubt now.

There must be a lot of Klitschko fans here then. 70% of the people think Scott took a dive (check the poll), and I agree with them. Wilder probably hits his girlfriend with harder punches.

Wilder will only bomb Wlad out if he gives him 100 times more cash than he gave Scott.

The right hand Wilder threw as Scott was on his way down missed, but the left hook prior to that definitely connected.
Whether it was hard enough to deck Scott, and whether he could have gotten up afterwards if he'd really tried, only he knows. So I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt there.
I had a strong feeling it was going to end early when I saw how pudgy Scott was at the weigh in, and that ridiculous business with the paper bag over the head. I'm not saying it was a fixed fight, just that Scott lacks ambition and I think he was only there for the money.
I also think that Wilder's handlers are making the same mistake with him as Frank Maloney made with David Price. Except that in Wilder's case, the build up before the fall is taking longer.
