Khan's pattern of boxing has changed significantly since getting floored became a habit. At best, a fight between Khan and Thurman would be 70\30 and only that high because Khan can run really fast in the ring and Thurman would have to catch-up to him for the final coup de grāce.
Too much hype behind Thurman without any solid wins, that's the reason behind my answer.

If Khan don't want to fight Broner and Guerrero two boxers that don't want any parts of Thurman, than what makes you think he will be raising his hand to fight him right now?

Khan was already getting the Floyd fight if Maidana didn't upset Broner!!! He doesn't need to fight anyone but stuffs until Floyd gives him another shot...it's all about the $$ and unfortunately Khan brings in more then any other welter that's not with Top Rank at least.

If I didn't know it not to be true, by this post I'd swear Khan had the better welterweight resume.

It's not about the "welterweight" resume, it's about who he's fought

This fight would be of great interest to NASA, Khan would find new planets when he gets blasted out of the arena by Thurman.

Is that right? So Thurman is overrated or overhyped? Even though he has the better resume in the weight class they'd be fighting?? I'm not sure I follow.

What is keeping this fight from happening is the same thing that is keeping Khan/Broner, Khan/Guerrerro, Broner/Matthysse, Thurman/Guerrero or Thurman vs anyone with a pulse from happening. It is Richard Schafer's fear that one of those fighters that he is trying to make into a star and set up for a big money fight will lose and be exposed.

You are right. There is no reason why Khan/Thurman shouldn't be made. There is also no reason why Khan/Guerrero and Khan/Alexander and Khan/Broner shouldn't have been made. But, instead, we will see Khan on May 3 against someone who he can easily beat in hopes that Mayweather will choose to fight him in September.
