I had originally thought Mike Perez was the best weapon against Deontay, but after his poor showing against Takam, he seems to be mentally not the same fighter anymore. Wilder might make easy work of him.

Fury would be a huge event for the fans, but I don't see it lasting long. If Wilder landed the same punch that Cunningham did, Fury wouldn't get up again. The speed difference would be very visible in this fight. It would come down to who lands first between these big guys, and Wilder would certainly land first.

We should see more of Deontay's ability tonight. If he does a good job on Scott, a Wilder vs. Chisora fight will be in big demand.

Good post. I agree, Perez isn't there mentally anymore but you can't blame him.

Wilder would most likely ice Fury. He's quicker, but both have some fine china.

Wilder is still very green. He has not really fought anyone and dude has so many flaws it's not even funny. I don't think you have to be a world class fighter to expose Wilder. That's why this fight is somewhat interesting. Scott can box and I want to see this fight go a few rounds so we can learn more about Wilder....but let's wait and see what happens tonight.
All I know he knock out that former NFL player and believe that is him

I love watching Americans suffer and still not accept the fact that the Klitschkos have owned the division for so long. They don't even realize that Vitali has retired and is fighting a political revolution in his homeland. They're too thick.

Actually, it was Lennox who took the division away from them. The K-Bros just continued the trend.

That's gonna make it all the more satisfying when Wilder does fight somebody decent -- presumably he'll have to someday -- and gets laid out.

Another funny part is that Yanks don't seem to think Chris Arreola is an American heavyweight anymore. Since he lost to Vitali he's a Mexican. Yet he is the one who has by far the best chance at getting a "real" title belt.

The funny part is Lennox and Wlad needed an American trainer

I will take that as you can't, I could name 25 guys but the last 10 or so would be no better or worse than Scott.

He beat Glazkov easily and he is still fairly highly thought of.

What will the haters say then.

Beware, wilder is coming and there is NOBODY who can stop him
If, by legit, you mean he is moving from fighting D-class fighters with no chance to win to a C-class fighter with a puncher's chance you are correct.

With over 30 fights under his belt, Wilder should have fought for a world championship 6 or 7 fights ago. Instead, he is just now moving from taxi drivers and couch potatoes to a real boxer.

But if Malik connects on that biscuit chin you'll see Deontay do the booty dew.

Oh you don't complain when guys you like get jobbed in some way. I don't even like Malik Scott that fight was just not close or hard to score~

I seem to remember you complaining about Lomachencko getting jobbed, the ref saw no need to warn for low blows which were on the thighs and hips. The refs word is final on how the rules are interpreted, so if he says no rules were broken no rules were broken. Inept reffing is not any different than inept judging.

If you don't think Glazkov got run in that fight there is no point in talking to you further as you have no clue what you are talking about
