People don't seem to realize how weight effects people. Take bodybuilder, for example. They're strong during their bulk but the moment they start to lean out and began dieting, they get much weaker. An extra lbs goes a very long way.
It's not the pound that is the problem, but it's the extra amount of time your body is under calorie deficit in order to reach that weight that is the problem. 145 is nothing for Cotto (during that time), but an extra week of sub 1.5k calories is crucial.
I hate how misinformed in nutrition boxing fans are.Last edited by intoccabile; 03-14-2014, 03:45 PM.Comment

Looking better doesn't equate to feeling better. Learn nutrition.Comment

I understand where you're coming from, but don't act like Cotto doesn't go on a deficit to make 154. Plus some fighters due to their frame simply fight better when they're at a certain weight. He was a lot faster in the Pacquiao fight, he suits 147 much better than 154.Comment

Wrong!Floyd offered Pac-juicer 14 day cutoff after Pacquiao refused random testing with no cut off dates,Pac juicer still turned it down,so Floyd said the offer was off the table and that next time they negotiate,Pac has to take a test with no cut off dates. Then Pacquiao agreed to a 14 day cutoff date after Floyd already said the 14 day offer was off the table.Comment

Floyd is no Cotto,Floyd is a lot faster and way more skilled then Cotto. His super fast reflexes would have allowed him to see Pac-juicers fast punches coming from a mile.He would have Boxed Pac-juicer from the outside and schooled the roidcheater.Comment
