Was he supposed to say he was weak? Cotto has come out and said the weight affected him. He repeated it just the other day. He also moved up a weight division after the fight which backs up what he says.

Can you get proof that he walks around the 180s? He rehydrates to 170-172. A fighters rehydration weight is usually their walk around weight.

Andre Ward, Mikkel Kessler, Carl Froch, JCC Jr, etc walk around the 180s, Canelo looks like he stays in shape all year round, it doesn't appear like he bloats up 30lbs+ from 154. That is ridiculous if you are just guessing, if you are right, then let me see proof.

DLH was also 146lbs at the weigh in, and gained 1lb on fight night, unofficially coming in at 147 in the ring.

But DLH said the weight was not an issue.

Do you believe that the weight was not an issue? Do you believe any fighter when they say weight was not an issue? Very few fighters admit this, probably to avoid backlash from media and fans calling them "sore loser" or looking like they're making excuses.
yes, they didn't make an excuse. If you say you lost a fight because of the weight, what does that make it?

Walk around weight is completely different from physical peak weight. Look at Ricky Hatton he walked around at 180+ is he a natural CW?

I don't think the weight made a difference in that fight, I think not having a competent head trainer in Cotto's corner made a big difference of the outcome of that fight.

So let me get this straight, when Cotto fought Pac his mean weight for the last 6 years was 150lbs but somehow 5 pounds is going to drain him? Especially as he fought the bulk of his career below 145lbs? People act like Cotto was a career light middleweight coming down ffs

Cotto like most fighters drain every fight. As a fighter gets older it gets harder for them to get down in weight and draining affects them more which is why they generally move up in weight as they age. Cotto hit the wall for the Pacquiao fight and it affected him a lot which is why he moved up after the fight. This is basic knowledge i'd expect any boxing fan to know.

Pac at his best would have beat Floyd. Floyd is consistently the same, almost flatlining if it was a hospital monitor.

Pac has reached peak levels that Floyd couldn't live with. But it is impossible to maintain that level Pac reached.
