Yep. I've never read a comment like that from someone's trainer. Why would anyone say that? SMH

Sadly, you're right. I don't even want to comment further on it.

I remember when he was such a fluid fighter with the whole package. But I knew the Mtagwa fight took a lot out of him. The record book doesnt show that his system was battered worse than many stoppages. What a fighting heart he has but that catches up to a fighter too, in this case one who was excellent.

In other words Freddy Trinidad(no relation to Tito Trinidad) is saying that he did his job & did it right & Juanma is in great condition, so if he looses it's not Freddy's fault.

I really didn't like his remarks, very unprofessional to say the least. He could've just said, "I brought JuanMa up to 100%. The rest is up to him," and left it at that. Instead, like you implied, Trinidad is washing his hands and trying to save face before the fight even starts. What a pal....

That Mtagwa fight was a killer. JuanMa showed unbelievable heart by staying on his feet for the final round. You could've knocked him over with a feather. That may well have taken too much life out of him. Then came the Marquez fight and the Salido wars. That was all she wrote. Garcia fought a shell of Lopez's former self. JuanMa shouldn't even be fighting this weekend. He might get hurt. Ponce hasn't declined like he has.

Or: "You can't make chicken pie out of chicken s-h-i-t."

Not the most confidence-inspiring interview a trainer could give.

Heck yeah he can win this. PDL has been through a bunch of wars too. It's not like PDL is hard to hit, and he's not as skilled as Garcia or as sturdy as Salido.
