GBP wouldn't have an issue letting him retire but let's be honest..this dude is just now 31 you think he was saving money like that? Like his career was about to be over? Therein lays the problem..he's used to a lifestyle and the only way to keep it is to keep fighting..practically the same story for every boxer who fights beyond his best moments.

I like both guys but I think Juanma needs the win most. I think what the trainer is saying is that he put together a good camp and a good gameplan but he cant MAKE Juanma break his old habits such as standing flat footed and trading shots. He probably sees how Juanma has a tendacy to back straight up while dispatching with his jab and lateral movement as potential for disaster if he doesnt stay on course with the gameplan. Me personally I disagree with the whole box PDL early strategy. I think Juanma's best chance is to jump on him early before he gets warmed up and get him out of there or at least set the tone and establish himself as boss. PDL reminds me a bit of Juan Manuel Marquez, in that u can hurt him early but he is usually stronger and more resilient as the fight wages on.
