Not the best opponent obviously, but at least it's a credible and entertaining opponent.

I didn't even know the Forum still existed~

I still don't see the reason for this fight, I guess JMM wants to look good and could want to go out on a good note if nothing comes up but that plan usually goes poorly and I don't see the possible fights in JMM's future that make doing this sort of risk worthwhile.

I don't know why he would avoid Provodnikov. Marquez would absolutely wipe the floor with him.

                Just retire already.
I see nothing wrong taking this fight,he's coming off a loss,i think he's obviously looking to fight for the welterweight belt, not the jr welter belt,if he wins which this really is a tough fight, marquez isn't a big guy like provodnikov or rios who were able to stand up to Alvarado's punches, marquez is smaller and I think Alvarado can hurt him,if he wins then I would like to see him face Bradley or porter next

The group who owned it for the past 10+yrs finally sold it to MSG and now it's been "remodeled." The only remodeling Ive seen from the outside is a paintjob lol

I think he would too, provodnikov isn't fast like pacquiao so marquez would just hit him at will, and provodnikov is easy to hit,i think it's just that he's not interested in winning the title at 140,he's said this many times,he wants the title at 147 plus he's coming off a loss,i don't see why people are upset at him not facing provodnikov, not many fighters face quality guys 3 times in a row like this would have been if he faced him, manny, bradley and ruslan,he can take a fight like Alvarado if he wishes and then face the welterweight champion
