true but prov can eat alot of punches, it would be interesting to see if he can catch marquez

That is interesting although I don't see why MSG would buy that place, there are at least a couple better venues in the area and that is just talking indoor arenas of that size. I would have thought the land would be more valuable than operating a dinosaur like that w/o a team to fill up dates, although looking at their page they have a decent amount of events.

Good thing for Arum MSG did that though because AEG has a strangle hold on arenas in that market if I recall, and they are real close with GBP

whats the diff between Provo and Alvarado one is just further down the line in their career, after a couple more fights Provo is gonna be Alvarado. They are both come forward punching bags. See how many punches you can take fighters. (see how i didnt use the word BOXERS)

          No he wouldn't.

Marquez is too skilled smart and experienced for that kind of shit.

Doubt it. I think it'll be like ward/e-rod where all the money is sunk into the main

Yeah it still looks ancient . It's a gamble...but the rest of the land (hollwood park Casino and race track) is massive and was just bought by the owner of the St Louis Rams. So of course that sparked speculation about a team moving here and a stadium being built, etc.

This fight is whatever, esp seeing at 143, I'll take it I guess.....overall it's good news because of what you said about AEG and GBP..there are some fights that Arum could put on that might sell out in La rather than forcing it to vegas. Fights that would have excited crowds, boxing crowds. Instead of people who dont even knwo who is fighting like in Vegas. "which one's marquez?"

Kinda but not really, Provo has way more power than Alvarado, so him trading shots is worth more than Alvarado who doesn't have much power.

Provo is also a better boxer as far as head movement and keeping his hands up. As far as where his career goes, it just depends on who gives him a fight and who doesn't

Yea I did hear about that, then it would all make sense and they are just biding their time until the real money comes around (NFL money). That was why I found it funny when I first read the article, but I have seen a ton of fights in grimy venues it can add to the charm plus there is a lot of fight history there and JMM did fight a ton there early on in his career.

That is true, Arum had beef with the California commission over the Margarito thing but Arum seems to have buried that since there is money to be made. Even with the bad tax structure (for business), which shouldn't bother Arum anyway since he does business in New York city which might even be worse in that regard than Inglewood.

I don't get why he ducked Ruslan, not like he's that much better than Alvarado, but whatever. This should be a good action fight and the point where Marquez should be heavily criticized for his opponent choices is pretty far behind him.
