Those were his tactics, he needed to smother Kostya.

That's one out of 120 fights that he's ever clinched, he's always been the one being notoriously clinched by others.

Honestly, didn't you people ever watch Hatton on ShoBox or what??

    Your just crazy, absolutely crazy.

no one should need to use illegal tactics to win. i have seen ricky clinch in occasions before, but never as much as that fight. there was some clinching in the muassa fight, esp after ricky was cut bad

Oh yeah, and the Maussa fight.

But please tell me the other fights where Ricky has ever clinched anybody? I've watched him since he was a kid in the amateurs and I swear this is complete news to me

pbf34 nuthugging sack, give hatton some credit he beat what some people thought was one of the best 140 lbers ever. what has floyd done at 140 anyway? Seriously though, imagine fighting Maussa...almost 6 feet, (Hatton 5'6), awkward as hell, blocks punches with his head, rough tactics, headbutting everywhere..stop being a close-minded *****! If Mayweather signs a contract I will gladly take any of your bets up.

I'm not crazy, great fighters don't use dirty tactics to win.

look at Pacman, he didnt use dirty tactics to dismantle legends.

            just pure skills...

agree? so Hatton and Ruiz are on the same level

You have to bare in mind that Hatton's last two fights were his worst ever performances, because he wasn't near as relaxed or mentally right. He was very nervous for the Kostya fight, says he couldn't stop his knees from shaking and can't actually remember the first 3-4 rounds. He broke down in tears before the Maussa fight because he let the problems with Warren get to him, it was a terrible performance but completely understandable due to the circumstances.

What dirty tactics did he use against Kostya? Kostya low-blowed Hatton, so Hatton gave it back (although I admit that was bad, and he should of had a point taken off - there was no need for that **** really). FFS though, why are American's such *******? It's completely unheard of here in England that Benn or Hatton used any dirty tactics against McClellan and Tszyu, just completely unheard of and not noticed. I just think American's are *******, boxing isn't ****ing ballet.
