Carl Froch earned it the hard way, home and away and still asks for the hardest fights avoiding nobody.

He rightly gets universal respect while Floyd gets called out for the ducking little cherrypicking man he is.

I give Floyd a lot of credit for stepping up to the plate and testing himself once again. He is a true warrior, and the fans will be the winners on May 3rd."
What did your master Arum say about Brandon Rios...?

FACTS THAT YOU DONT KNOW OR IGNORE ABOUT FLOYD MAYWEATHERS CAREER

          1) He won the lineal title in is 18th pro fight, 2nd year as a pro at 21 years of age. Very few fighters have won titles, younger or in fewer fights. Also considering the quality of fighter. Genaro Hernandez was the man at 130 for years and beat the best there. Not no vacant title, against some unranked guy but THE MAN.

          2) Only Manny Pacquaio has won 4 lineal titles and each time he won a lineal title it was against the number one guy, not some vacant title. Hernandez(130), Castillo(135), 147(Baldomir, Mosley), Canelo(154)

Try to name one former lineal junior lightweight world champion who would beat Canelo, Oscar and Cotto.

          2) in 45 fights almost half his fights are title fights and over a third are against future former or current world champions.

          3) With signing to fight Maidana he will have fought 13 world titlists he has defeated 12 in a row....name one fighter in this era or prior who has done so....Whitaker, Chavez, Jones, Hopkins, Toney, Leonard, Hearns, none of them have done this. There may not be a lot of great fighters in his era but he has consistently beat good to very good competition convincingly for a long time

          4) In his early career as pretty boy floyd he called everyone out on HBO TSZYU, ODLH, Mosley, Casamayor, all the top guys avoided him until he became the cash cow

          5) he conceded everything to ODLH for the fight...gloves, ring size, weight class, etc...he earned his spot. The champ doesnt call out guys, face it. you dont have to watch him. I will.
This is one of the greatest posts I've ever read on Boxingscene.

Manny was coming back from a devastating KO and then he faced a guy that can KO. Apples and oranges ... like usual.

He gets called that by posters like you who are still upset over him easily beating a fighter you liked that you said he wouldn't fight.

Floyd wasn't a star. He could barely sell 8,000 seat venues. He kept fighting whoever Bob wanted and when he asked Bob for big money, Bob told him he couldn't do it. So floyd bought out his deal and remade himself a villian and then ran with it all the way to the top.
It must be frustrating to watch a fighter you disdain do things the fighters you love can't.

You always come off as a real boxing fan even though we don't agree much. WHen do you let go of your bitterness and admit that floyd, like him or hate him, earned his place in history.
