Oh, and OP... Don't tell the NSB'ers that certain styles make a fighter fight a certain way. They have all done intense, CIA-esque investigations and have found that Angulo was paid off.

I would also point out the efficiency of his jab. That's exactly what you're supposed to do to an opponent that lacks head movement. He never allowed Angulo to get in rhythm. Canelo's jab was strong and well-timed.
You hit it right on the head, his jab was incredible. So fast, short, precise it really caused Angulo to step back and hesitate.

      Great point made.

I know man, it's amazing to me how many people watch boxing, but don't understand it.

Everything nowadays is a conspiracy, nothing can happen and be true.

Lol exactly. And the point that they all fail to realize is: It's not EASY to fix a fight. These fighters are not actors, they are boxers.

          AND

Why the hell would Angulo take 10 rounds of punishment and keep coming forward if it was fixed? Wouldn't he have just acted hurt after getting hit with one of those bombs, drop to a knee and call it an early night?

Yea it's like "Ok champ, we got the money, go down when he hits you with a hard combination."

Angulo " no, let's sell it, I think I will take 10 rounds of brutal punishment, not go down and then literally cry with tears when the ref stops it"

              Canelo was outstanding.

It just shows how supreme Floyd is. He clowned Canelo who is a top draw fighter.

It does, but it's also styles. Alvarez is at his best when he can let those fast, accurate combos go. He didn't look so great against Trout because he couldn't, and of course we saw what happened against Mayweather. He probably wouldn't look anywhere near as good against Lara either.

Angulo gave him the punching bag to look good against, and boy did Alvarez look good.

Lmao! I literally laughed out loud at this. That dialogue was hilarious!

But yes, I stated it in another thread but I hate being a sports fan in this generation. Someone drops 40? Steriods. Someone hits 4 home runs in 2 games? HGH. Someone put on a dominant performance in the ring? Undetectable PED's or the opponent got paid off.

No one can just be better anymore.

EDIT: Hell, no one can just have a GOOD NIGHT anymore!! lol

He did much better against Trout than you give him credit for. I thought he hurt Trout on a few occasions and really was accurate considering Trout is a big, slick 154 who throws tons of punches.

He won't look as good vs Lara I agree and that fight style wise benefits Lara. Even though I think Canelo beats Lara because he will come forward in that fight.

People are idiots, they really are. When Canelo put his hands down on the ropes and Angulo missed like 8 punches in a row, that **** sealed it. Canelo was in the groove.
