Yesterday's El Perro was not far from the one who almost beat Lara. Both Canelo and Lara have similar attitude towards fighting and that is to counter, except Canelo is more of an "aggressive counterpuncher" who is not afraid to stand his ground. Canelo takes more advantages of even the smallest openings, which a slow pressure fighter like Perro is prone to give. If Lara did that last year he could've won much easier.

The one thing people don't want here is to see a fighter Floyd beat go on to do great things after it. People's lives depend on being able to **** on him for whatever reason, so if Canelo goes on to beat good fighters and have a great career, it'll invalidate all the **** they spew about him. It'd ruin a lot of guys days if Canelo goes on to be good, and people will try to avoid having to give him credit any way they can, even if that means saying Canelo's opponents are in a big conspiracy to make Canelo, and thus Floyd, look good.

That's what it comes down to. The guys I saw bringing out the most ******ed excuses....The very same guys that slag off Floyd obsessively.

Good points Benny. There also seem to be a backlash because Canelo is popular and actually knows how to box. Power guys are the favorite here on NSB because posters have decided they value "excitement" over skill.

The fact is ANgulo is a rudimentary brawler with 1/10th the skill of Canelo. He got this fight so Canelo could beat his ass and regain his credibility. Angulo had to know this. He took the fight because of the big payday. He took the extra 100k when Canelo came in above weight.

Its just sad that NSB is littered with fans who don't understand the sport and have been conditioned to think power will beat skill.

The evil dictator of the Galactic Confederacy took a dislike to Floyd, just as some fans here, and decided to get back at him by infecting Angulo with extra destructive engrams through his thetan to ruin Canelo's reputation, and thusly Floyds. They tried to also disrupt Canelo's Clear, but he audited himself in time, and his engrams were dispersed in time for the fight so they instead had to focus on disrupting Angulo's thetans, to produce inhibitors that would traumatise the Operating Thetan, thus resulting in the performance we saw.
