This is a sport that is severely lacking in superstars, and it's just confusing to me that people want to see this kid fail so badly.

Floyd's not going to be around much longer. Every generation needs that one fighter who will be the face of the sport for the general public (Louis, Ali, Tyson, De La Hoya, Mayweather, etc...) and right now, Alvarez is the closest thing we have to "that guy" for the next generation.

I can only imagine what this place will look like if he beats Lara like I expect him to.
I don't know about that. Lara's style is like a more ferocious version of Mayweather's. Movement, speed and counters bother Canelo.

Lara's not comfortable inside though, and obviously can't fight there like Mayweather. It would be a much closer fight that could end up as controversial as Alvarez/Trout.

I had to use my account for the first time to weigh in on this weekend's fight. This was the most obviously fixed fight I have ever seen. Look at Angulo's ring walk and tell me that there isn't something weighing on his mind. He threw punches with 20% power for the entire fight, jesus christ guys how can you not see? As far as I' concerned Canelo is just a WWE boxer now. This fight has cast a shadow of su****ion over all Showtime main events.

He is not going to take such a beating for that long if it was fixed, it would look like a sparring match if it was going to go so long like Mosley/Mayorga which I do think was fixed.
