No No No No No .....The loss to Mayweather has turned up the vitriol. Frankly, the better he does post-Mayweather only serves to make Floyd's win look better, and god knows people don't want that. I think there's also some residual anger as to his actual performance against Floyd too - he was maybe the last hope to beat Floyd and he froze.
Some of the other reasons I can understand/accept more - such as he is undoubtedly babied by GBP and gets a lot of preferential treatment - ie, winning a title at a catchweight against Matthew Hatton, missing weight against Perro, etc.
But the hate he gets is kinda ridiculous. I like that boxing is the kind of sport where we don't just simply accept a hype-job getting forced onto us.
But the flip-side is, everyone in and around the sport just seems to be permanently angry at someone or something.
Before Floyd, Canelo had a very average performance with Trout. Canelo is young and learning. The Trout, Floyd and Angulo fights are all a good learning experience. Many on this board said that Canelo was NOT ready for Floyd when Floyd fought him and Floyd took advantage of that situation plus had the CW that certainly affected Canelo.Comment

Yep, Angulo's demeanor was more of 'Let me stay composed, relaxed and slowly build momentum'I'm pretty sure it hurt him. Hunter asked Angulo if the punches were bothering him after the first round. Angulo clearly said " a little bit" which means the punches did bother him.
I'll take Angulo's word over any of the internet psycho analyst and conspiracy theorists on boxingscene.
The left hook in that first round among the other punches set the tone for the fight.
Canelo's demeanor was 'Your gonna quickly see what your in for', that and I think seeing his brother get beat helped a little. I think I counted 10-11 body shots in that round for Canelo, just cringe worthy stuff.Comment

Factor?? Probably angulo took a valium or some sort of anti-depressant the night before the fight. He was really relaxed out there taking bomb after bomb while giving canelo some tenderly punches.

I feel Angulo had some type of depression and was drained but I thought heading into the fight that Canelo would be too much for him and win a UD. I never saw a TKO/KO coming and it wouldn't have but the ref stepped in. I can't truly blame Weeks though because Canelo was destroying Angulo with ease.As usual, after a big fight, NSB absolutely refuses to give credit to the victor and instead opts to bring out the excuses. Half of you ****s were backing Perro big time yesterday, now all I see in the threads on the front page are excuses ranging from clinical depression to use of EPO to Amir Khan beating Angulo up too much in sparring to the fight being fixed and the normal downgrading of an opponent half of you twits picked to win after he's been savagely beaten.
Believe me when I say that the above selected portion is not even half of what's currently going on in threads in this ****hole right now.
So which is it, ****s? Which factor is most responsible for Alvarez's victory last night? Was it *****? The illuminati? Tony Weeks?
