Landy has fought a million title eliminators and it's about time that Canelo gives him a shot. Let's stop with the "oh he's boring, he doesn't sell and this is not how you make fights" excuses.

Give Lara the fight he deserves it, stop the ducking Canelo. Sooner or later it's going to be down right racist on how these boxing promoters don't want to give these Cuban fighters a fair shake.

Good. Ginger Canela has pride after all. Stop manipulation and begin doing real fights. canela can't be only fighting easy fight for him to win. He has to fight real champions. With Cotto Im sure Canelo will win as well i was with Angulo, because Cotto is done. Fight Lara and find some respect protected cinderella

So how long a training camp does Lara need for Canelo? For the biggest fight of his career I'm sure he will have no issue getting right back at it after he beats Ishe. Ishe doesn't have much to offer as just a stay busy fight. From May 2nd to July 26 is almost 3 months. Or maybe u just have a built in excuse when Canelo taxes Lara. If Lara wins would give him his credit but if Canelo wins I doubt you would. Give credit where credit is due.

As a Canelo fan, I want the Lara fight a lot, I think it's a great fight.

However, if it doesn't happen next, the world won't end.

Canelo's last 3 fights - Trout, Mayweather, Angulo. In all three fights, there were a hell of a lot of people who picked him to lose. Even Angulo - more people on this board seemed to picked Perro to win, especially in the lead-in week to the fight.

So if Canelo (specifically, Schaefer) pick Lara, that'll be the fourth fight in a row where a lot of people will pick him to lose. In fact, Lara will be the favourite.

Not bad for a cherry-picking hype job.

Idk how long he needs. These guys usually do 8 week camps. I think Maidana did 10 for Broner? Built in excuse? That's weak.

Since that Josesito Lopez "fight" (if that's what you want to call that disgraceful event), his opponent selection has been good. I didn't mind the selection of Angulo coming off of his first L and the Trout fight happened at the right time.

He's doing a good job of removing that protected gifted media hyped cherry picker label. But that label will not be completely removed unless he faces Lara at some point in 2014. Blowing up some welterweight contender like Schaefer mentioned in this article will only make matters worse.

I couldn't believe the wave of Angulo picks last week. He might even have been the favorite. Shocked me quite a bit.
