  • boxing fans always talking like conspiracy theorists. there's no point for a fix because everybody shoulda known this was a mismatch.

why was angulo moving so slow? because he's slow.

why was he pity patting? because he respected canelo's power and didn't want to get countered.

    • Idk, it was kinda weird that it took Angulo 9 rounds or whatever it was to decide to finally go for broke. But the tears and acting job at the end was oscar worthy if the **** was really rigged.

I think it was just that Angulo is so damn slow, and when Canelo came out from the start tagging him -- it put a bit of a road block in Angulo's mind mentally. And I was rooting for Angulo but I thought B-Scene was hilarious leading up to the fight. You woulda thought Angulo was a 9 to 1 favorite the way people were talking in here. His performance against Lara was nice but f**king Angulo was fighting on ESPN a few fights ago. Lmao he's not some pound for pounder. Dude was handpicked by Canelo for a reason.

He could have gone down on any of those hard shots in the earlier rounds, given Canelo an impressive KO win, and saved himself further damage.

I think it was awful conditioning together with awful tactics from Hunter.
        This...

People need to pay attention to the details. Angulo was a mental wreck heading into the fight, crying on TV for no reason multiple times and Hunter had to basically baby him all the way to the ring. Dude looked like he was in a state of massive depression and completely out of it well before he even stepped into the ring to begin with.

        • I literally just finished watching the fight again. It just looked like an outclassing to me. Canleo took away the left hook. Perro's right hand isn't NEARLY as affective as a punch. He never got the leverage he needed to change the trajectory of the bout and as he got tagged FROM THE SECOND THE FIGHT STARTED he would only lose more and more on his punches.

          • Angulo looked like he didn't even wanna be there
don't think the fight was fixed, Angulo got a beating
if he was told to throw it, he coulda done so less painfully
he simply wasn't in game mode and lost to the guy who was

            • this fight was so fixed that they used the ref to stop it and and make angulo looked pissed to make controversy and put fans against canelo , right?

              • Canelo was putting it to him, he immediately showed who was boss in the fight and never allowed it to change plus Angulo really is not a fighter that changes fights, I am actually kind of surprised he lasted as long as he did.

Canelo was just clearly better, they picked their get back on the horse opponent wisely.

Angulo is capable of much better than that, so much more urgency in the Lara fight. I am not saying fix maybe Angulo is mentally ruined from the Lara fight who knows but he just didn't seem at anytime mentally into it or confident in winning.

I am sure GBP would have loved that, good business.

Besides, Canelo's carreer is stacked with bull*****, the kid is not bad, but he's been brought up to be their money machine, that's obvious.

They handed him a belt against freakin' Matthew Hatton, paid old Shane to move up and make their kid look good. Then the open scorecards against Trout: they gave Canelo every single early round for doing next to nothing, so that when he gassed the fight was virtually over.

Against Floyd one of the judges gave him a draw when he got schooled all night long.

                    Do you notice a pattern?.
If they thought Angulo was a real threat they would not have chosen him for an opponent. People are just blinded by hatoraid they couldn't see that Angulo was tailor made for Canelo's strength. El Perro got taken to school, deal with it.
And you still didn't really respond to my post. No **** that Golden Boy doesn't want Canelo to lose, but what could they offer Angulo that would equal what he would gain if he beats Canelo?
