Manfredo boxed his ass off and looked good doing it. I think Scottie has been in too many wars and it caught up with him.

Pemberton is having more of a reaction from punches now. he is getting stunned a lot easier from good shots, but not anything devistating in this fight. there wasn't anything with any real stank on it, just clean hits are affecting him to where he is more in survival mode instead of fight mode like he used too.

I hope Pemberton reevaluates his career and looks more towards his health and his future. I don't want to see him get hurt in the ring.

Scotty looked like Scotty. Like I said in my previous posts, just because Scott pemberton fought Lacy, that does not make him a world class fighter. Many people said "Pemberton is too good for Manfredo". While some of us said that Peter would KO him. Peter looked very strong. He was fast, and his footwork (probably bc of roach) was much better. He was dodging punches, sticking and moving, jabbing, and putting impressive combinations together.

I don't think we saw a different Scotty, We saw a different Peter!

I have to question that first knockdown. Pemberton looked like he took a knee after the hook, and Peter cracked him with the uppercut anyway. Was Pem's knee down? Anyway, Manfredo was underestimated, and Pemberton just looked very stiff and uncomfortable, he should retire.

He was crouching down, then was cracked and went down.

I don`t think fix is the word. If an opponent is being hailed as the next best thing and is given all the attention by the tv network i think it can effect the other fighter and his outlook during the fight. Many Tyson opponents were intimadated by Tyson not so much because of him but who he was in boxing. They were over awed by him. This i believe is factor in certain fights!

when trying to make a fighter sound good, u usually dont mention his previous fight where he was KO'd twice, until tko'd in the seocnd round. but yes, pemberton is diffrent and is done.

off topic- scully, whats ur opinion on lacy, having seen him first hand?

I was very impressed with Manfredo.......Thats the best he has looked ever IMO.He looked stronger at 168 and if he were to fight Mora at 168 I believe he could KO him too.He is not ready for the likes of Lacy or Kessler or Calzaghe but he could be a top 15 guy after that performance and be a true contender.

Yeah those were definitely fake shots. Whatever, man. I was just as shocked as anybody else, but it really happened. Manfredo is a LOT better than I thought.

I hope I'm wrong but that fight seemed really fixed to promote The Contender 2. Just imagine if people will still tune in to that show if Manfredo was knocked out, just think about it.

Calling out Iceman Scully, was that the real Pemberton?
there is no way this fight was fixed , this does not happen in boxing , espiecially not a big event lyk tht

yea, and honestly, its not hard to believe. after pembertons last performance, and the fact that hes clsoing in on 40 should have made it clear that it was not going to b a good night. but no1 could have suspected one as short as this
