Maidana has proven to be much more powerful, skillful, and has a better resume than Baldomir. He's also bigger and taller than Baldomir. No way this fight ends up like Floyd-Baldomir. I think it will be more along the lines of Mayweather-Chavez, minus the TKO.

Chavez was much faster on his feet and hands with better timing than Maidana. Maidana is too slow to land like Chavez did. This will look like Baldomir-Mayweather. Maidana is simply too slow.

It's Canelo's first fight as the A-side on PPV main event.

Cotto was doing 350-400k with more popular fighters than Angulo, in his prime, like Mosley(355k) and Margarito(450k). Mayweather was doing 300-400k with Gatti, Judah, Baldomir.

300k against a fighter who is not that popular like Angulo, and with the Charlo fight falling apart, and the undercard not being particularly strong, that's a pretty good number.

I disagree with better timing. Chevez was just throwing anything in that fight with little regard for accuracy or timing. He just put his head down and dug in. May broke his hand trying to keep Chavez off of him. Maidana can imitate this style.. But he can also fight from range. Foot speed was more.. Of course.. It was a lighter weight!
