really? I think you might be a bit too concerned with something that has absolutely nothing to do with you. To address ur comment-making 154 doesnt matter anymore, 155 was agreed, read te article again smart guy ur overthinking

Your spinning and avoiding the comment I made. I think, and it may just be a difference in our opinions, I think that Hunter is the type of person to take a moral high ground to gain sympathy for his fighters and if that meant coming in a pound under he would do so based on the circumstances. But shame on me for not jumping on the bandwagon, here I go: Canelo bad. Canelo baaad. Canelo baaaaaaad.

It used to be the common practice=likely still is- that in cases like this, or when a natural weight champion is fighting a non-title fight, to give the actual weight as being just over the limit. So I would expect that Angulo was 154 or less and to make it seem like a legit over the weight fight, they fiddled his weight for half=a-pound. If-as he should have been- he was 154 or less, and the "new" weight became 155, he wouldn't take the chance of messing up his weigh-in weight by, say eating something or taking a drink, because, although he would have been weighed by his own scales, he would not be certain that the official scales would be exactly the same.

Soooo...I'd bet that he was under or at the contracted weight.

If you cant make weight comfortably, move up. What are you scared of?

This really isn't a hard concept to grasp.

              Canelo couldn't make weight.

Canelo's camp calls Angulo's camp to offer to raise the weight limit.

              Angulo's camp accepts.

Higher weigh limit means Angulo can weigh in higher...so he does.

Why drain himself further just to make a point?

Oh yeah. Because Moral high ground.

Team Canelo delaying the inevitable. If the kid is coming into the ring at 170+ then it's time to move up into the 159 weight area at some point trying to make 154 is going to hurt more than help.

The likes of GGG & Maravilla to be exact. And if he got any fatter and couldn't make 160 he would have the problems named Karl Froch, Andre Ward and even The King Arthur Abraham waiting to tenderize him before seasoning him and sticking him in the oven. That is what he is scared of.

Well mayweather did it to marquez and nobody seemed to care or say anything about it. And he came 3lbs overweight. I guess it's ok for some fighters to do it
