And to the latter, it's not likely. He doesn't have near the speed Mosley had. It's an awful, awful style matchup for Garcia across the board.
Danny has very good timing. And I see him walking Floyd into a hookan that f.ucks his world up. And when floyd recovers, he's gonna whoop his ass.

As for how it would affect Danny going forward. If Danny is mentally so weak he can't recover from losing to one of the best boxers ever. He's probably not cut out to win at the highest level for a prelonged period of time.

Garcia should have just taken the huge payday and exposure while the offer was on the table and gave it a shot to try and land the GARSH. This opportunity won't always be present and there's guys at welterweight (when he finally moves up) that could beat him IMO; Thurman, Porter, and maybe even Guerrero. If he drops a loss to any of those guys he can kiss the Floyd sweepstakes goodbye.
I think Danny should have taken it because he's not an elite talent and it a bit of an overachiever. And there's no guarantee he doesn't meet his Gonzolaz (Mares) sooner rather than later. No matter how carefully he's matched. I wouldn't be completely shocked if Herrera outboxed him. Especially if Danny isn't on his game or is overlooking him.

This could come back and bite them in the ass because Danny Garcia may not even be undefeated by next year which will hurt his standing in the Mayweather sweepstakes.
Hater alert , dany is undefeated and the 0 most not go. Dannyvsmayweather in may 2015. Thats the reason they are trying to make danny a superstar here in PR

I would enjoy this fight, but as for Danny not being upset he hasn't got it yet, so what? We all knew for a long time that he wasn't in the running for it coz he claimed to not want it (yet)...If this fight happens, and part of me thinks it will next year, then it would be a good one for Floyd.

Garcia aint worried he not chasing nor desire a fight with mayweather, he doing his own thing. He knows he cant beat maywaether so why try and mess up his winning streak but he knows he can possibly beat everyone at 140-147 yes they all 50/50 fights but with mayweather is like a 3/97 type of fight where he has no chance to win.

he doing what smart building his own career, let him catch mayweather on the tail end of his career when hes slipping.

I don't know why the boxing media along with some fans keep bringing up Garcia as an opponent for Floyd .... Dude is just getting his career moving and he's a LWW.

Let Danny clear out the LWW's, secure his place and name and when he decides to move up, then go after Floyd (If Floyd hasn't retired for good).

The process should be, for fighter's to make a name for themselves, beat some quality opposition and then go after the big dogs. Things are getting quite twisted, thanks to some boxer's who feel that they can just skip ahead of everyone without even fighting.

Danny's doing alright carving his legacy.

Well considering Broner just lost his 0 that leaves him and Thurman as the two most promising undefeated champions at GBP don't see either man being tossed in the way of much danger for the next two years until Floyd is out of the picture...he ain't ever fighting Floyd. He doesn't want the fight, Brother Naz is likely to advise him against the payday and Mayweather isn't going to be happy with Garcia's minimal fanbase turn out for a ppv so yeah Haymon ain't in no rush to make that fight.

There would be no reason for him to be upset , they didn't want the fight yet . Angel wants to build his confidence at 147 , and wisely so. What's the big rush anyway if your not comfortable at that weight yet ? I'd do the same thing .

He ain't comfortable at 147? To quote Brother Richardson "I know danny walks around at like 180/185..I don't know how them young boys cut so much weight but eventually it catches up to you...dude Danny would be comfortable fighting at Hopkins weight.
