Well at least its a bit healthy here in the UK with Chisora and Fury digging trenches.
You take Haye - overblown cruiserweight he was - out of the equation, who really has Wlad fought since Corrie Sanders and Brewster beat him? Tony Thompson probably the best, maybe Chagaev was worthy too.
Wach (best win Tye Fields), Pianeta (best win Botha), Mormech (*groan* really?), Povetkin (cruiserweight), Rahman (after TKO3 to James "fat and old" Toney), Ray Austin (only 1 credible opponent prior to WK and that was a D), man you go down the list and it's EMBARRASSING.
What a **** stain on heavyweight boxing this reign has become. He just avoids danger until it turns up in a t-shirt with his head ripped off and he *has* to face it and even then it had a broken toe.
Haye's toe was anaethetised so he wouldn't have felt a thing anyway. Besides, Wlad was 35 and Haye in his prime. Byrd, Rahman, Ibragimov, Peter, and Povetkin are bigger wins than Haye anyway. Pulev will be too.
Wlad has been on a bum steak lately and I've been drifting as a fan accordingly, but there hasn't had a credible threat to him since Byrd retired.

Wlad got a lot of criticism for his performance vs Povetkin, which is partly justified; however, Povetkin takes his part of blame for making it an ugly fight. He had no plan B and just tried to land that overhand right all night, which constantly resulted in him landing in Wlad's bear hug instead.
I want to see Wlad fight tall opponents like Fury and Wilder again, as he will be able to show his true quality in these type of match ups. The smaller guys simply don't stand a chance in hell and this Leapai guy won't be any different. I want a clear KO from Wladimir.

tua needs cash but he said no. what is wrong with him not wanting to get in the ring again? he doesn't want to help the HW champion against a fellow countrymen. tua is a class act & always has been. he made poor decisions with his money & had a long legal battle with kevin barry that drained his resources. I recall how angry froch got when his fellow countrymen helped train Kessler. he was irate. tua did the opposite. this fight is still a joke in my opinon but it is what it is. it will be the same posters bashing him & the same posters defending him... yawnnnnnnnn. a little name calling back & forth, bringing up the same crap over & over again that has nothing to do with the topic. this website is pretty predictable...it's usually all between about 5or 6 posters... haven't seen FACT guy since vitali retired...
