What kind of revisionist history are you trying to pull on us? Nobody thought it was the most meaningful fight, everyone was was happy that Martinez was finally going to get a chance to make some money.

Martinez got humiliated by "bum" lmao. Chavez battered and beat the crap out of Martinez as soon as he lets his hands go in that 12th round. Chavez Jr the official father of La Maravilla:

you cant even act like its the same thing cmon now.. just like like how mosley was a legit fight for floyd.. but after getting schooled then a draw with sergio mora, it was considered a bad match for pac

            LOL

Martinez embarrassed by this "bum" in front of millions. The only part people remember from that fight is that 12th round when Chavez finally let his hands go. In a rematch, Chavez would beat the living crap out of Martinez again.

Now we saw what a prepared Jr. can do. He's clearly better than Vera.

The Sergio point is valid. But GGG doesn't fight like Sergio. He's not going to stay away from Jr. and box his ears off. Can GGG stand his ground and beat a focused Chavez Jr?

Better yet can he stop him?

This makes the fight interesting. Also GGG is fighting Jr. at a higher weight class.

So theoretically Jr. may be better at SMW. Though it's hard to tell.

                Yesssssss

Golovkin shouldn't wait around 160 if Sergio doesn't want to fight him.

He can move up and fight Chavez, Froch/Groves, Abraham, Ward, etc.

Wicked fight and one that will be super exciting.

Somewhere in Oakland, Ward shed a tear.

GGG will be completely unprepared for the new sugar JR. Sergio wouldn't have got tossed around in the 12th in this fight with JR if he had these kind of moves.
