Exactly what Mexicans did Casamayor beat? Jose Luis Castillo beat his a$$, Jose Armando Santa Cruz beat his a$$ and got robbed, Juan Manuel Marquez beat his a$$, and Robert Guerrero beat his a$$. All of Casamayor's losses were to Mexicans, hahaha. And lmao at "washed up" when Casamayor and Marquez were 2 years apart in age.

And really Mexicans and Cubans haven't fought each other all that much. Gamboa beat Salido a few years ago. Lara just beat Angulo. That's pretty much it. Those fights aren't on the level of Marquez vs. Casamayor. Just like 2 weeks ago Emmanuel Robles beat a highly praised Cuban amateur track star in Yordenis Ugas. Other than those evenly matched fights they haven't fought each other much.

You can't successfully work your way up the lighter divisions without fighting an army of Mexicans, or boxers of Mexican descent. Joel's most notable wins over Mexicans were Robert Garcia (for the 130 title) and Diego Corrales (Casa won 2/3, scoring one KO). Or, should I say, to use your term, he "beat their a$$es?" There were also lesser wins: Leyva (20-1), Vargas (23-3) and Arias (33-2-1).

Casamayor and JMM are only two years apart, but everyone ages differently. Marquez is still fighting at the highest levels at age 40, which is unusual. By the time those two fought, Joel was on his way out. But it wasn't a bad performance by a fading fighter against a future ATG who would later climb to higher weights.

I hate getting into these skirmishes, but I thought I'd balance the scales a little bit.
