Very close to Stevensons resume...
I rate Cleverly and Campillo above Cloud and Bellew
Sillakh was a pretty good win (the way he won it, and the opponent wasn't bad)
For Stevenson, it's the Dawson fight thats the decider really. He KO'd him in 1 round, coming off a weight-drained performance against Ward.... it's hard to tell how good that win actually was despite the titles at stake.
We also have to take into account Stevenson was TKO'd by Boone, albeit an avenged loss.
Very close....
Not a lot of fights won (just 23) yet already acting like a prima donna who has one eye towards retirement and another towards ducking fights and acting like Floyd Mayweather, even though he hasn't earned that status yet. Amir Khan also comes to mind once again.
While Kovalev is a worker. A guy who cares more about activity and getting his fights in on a regular basis, rather than waiting around and having his hands out waiting for a big payday. That's because he isn't influenced by Western way of thinking about Hype, entertainment, being from a Eastern country.
This is why guys like Stevenson need to be starved (albeit financially) like children from an African village before his head gets too big. He just won his Title and is already acting all defensive towards threatening challengers and his enablers (fans on NSB included) are defending him.Comment

Wasn't Maliganggi Cotto esque. Many people weren't expecting Malignaggi to get knocked out quickly.
And I think Campillo is pretty close to a mover who boxes and uses his legs atleast similar to Sillakh. Not got much of a chin like Sillakh either.
And just because you thought it would be a risky fight doesn't mean it was. Like I said a large amount of people expecting Sillakh to get knocked out.
Wasn't a risky fight.
Campillio was a risky fight going in, hell, Cleverly was a risky fight going in. Sillakh was not.Comment

Though I do not agree with the idea of 'Western way' of thinking. Plenty of 'Western' fighters fight for glory as well as financial gain... as i'm sure many 'Eastern' fighters would love to be paid without having to put in work. I think it's more a character trait and mentality more than culture, though i'm sure they can influence eachother.
I was thinking of Carl Froch as example here, though it made me laugh as some people in this world are fixated on the idea of him being Polish.... maybe he is Eastern in approach after allComment
