Not in the sense he is talking. But Gary Russell Jr hasn't fought anyone. Look at all the young fighters, hell even Adrien Broner fought and loss when he upped his game. Canelo is a former world champion. Danny Garcia current world champion.
He has accomplished nothing in other words and he is no different to many other fighters.

I don't think so. Arum and Shaffer are similar both promoters but in my opinion Arums more of a POS is biased and cares more about himself and $$$ then his fighters or the fans and does some pretty sheisty shiz towards his fighters and the fans

But Arums been In it long time represented some of the best all time and knows what he's doing and if you get past his BS he drops knowledge , some of his interviews are pretty informative.

Haymon never gives his opinion all he does is get his fighters paid and more then they would with any other promoter/advisor or what ever the f()ck his title. He gets his fighters in prime spots on TV against top competition. Fighters only seem to praise Haymon. I mean he got Rodriguez 1 mil against Ward u relative unknown twice as much as GGG gets for his fights. There might a lot of negative things about Haymon but it never seems to reach the public.

But if I was a fighter and had to choose between the 2 I'd pick Haymon.

Heres what i know, the old time greats who fought under arum havent said a negative thing about him. a few new generation boxers have. Fact is that they still make good money.

As for Haymon, he gets his fighters good money but not neccesarily great fights, i.e. Berto, too many showcase fights for too much money, his fighters were mostly under gb was part of the reason hbo kicked them to the curb

They serve different functions.Bob is a promoter, Al is a manager. TR develops fighters and makes money off promoting them. Haymon gets his fighters better dates and more money.

both have doube degrees from Harvard (law for Arum, MBA for Haymon) and are extremely successful. other than that they are not really alike.

              Had to search ....
Robert Guerrero had a $3 million Guarantee
Ortiz had a $2 Million Guarantee

              Neither are with Haymon BTW.

Maidana - Don't know .... (Is managed by Haymon)
Bradley's getting 6 million dollars to fight Pacquiao. So, more money than Ortiz and Guerrero combined.

Arum takes advantage of the public perception that he is a villain. He knows how to make controversial statements and drum up discussion, even if a lot of it is against him. Arum's job is to sell fights, and he'll sell more fights if people are talking about them.

Haymon doesn't benefit from people talking about him. He would rather stay opaque and have people guess at what he is doing. Whatever kind of business he's in, all anyone knows is that his fighters make a lot of money and get network TV dates. He's a manager; his job is to sell fighters.

The two have different roles in the world of boxing.

He had a signed contract for $10M but he is getting paid $6M, that's Arum for you in a nutshell.

Then hed have grounds to complain but somehow hasnt. Perhaps 10m was for the rematch in case he won? However he lost wide in the court of public opinion, and these guys underwrite ppvs.

Do you honestly think 10m is his market value? Thats more than Cotto got vs Floyd and far higher than Jmms career high
