About damn time. Good thing he lost the title on the scales too because Arum would have probably bribed him to stay at the weight for one more fight with Lomachenko.

Now he can calmly move up.

Damn I'd love to see Russell vs Loma but with TR and GBP acting like lil girls, we won't see it. Please end the cold war

Rusell mainly fights for GBP, but as he stated he is not part of GBP stable.....so I guess this fight is doable.

Funny thing is, I believe Loma would fight Russel Jr in a heartbeat, but I do not think Russel would fight him with or with out the cold war, Russle Jr, has been a pro for too long to not have fought anyone of note? Not saying he isin't good, but dam

What Loma needs now are some 10 or 12 round fights against lesser fighters than Salido. After 4-5 fights they can try it again. He just have no experience for these long fights thats the major problem.

And yes, him getting a title shot after one pro fight is terrible. For all the complaining about the corrupt ref (which is well warranted) a lot of people keep forgetting that Loma didn't deserve a title shot in the first place.

LOMACHENKO fought a welterweight and a dirty welterweight that is known for his toughness at 126,imagine at 147 vs LOMACHENKO so green as pro. I can't believe not all persons are didgusted about what SALIDO did to win this fight, not a upset from a man that used steroids in the past indeed!!! He was scared of LOMACHENKO and this is the reason he was so not professional...ridicolous! And LOMA was stopping him in the 12 round when he had never fought 12 rounds before vs a tough pro like SIRI....GREAT LOMACHENKO!!![IMG][/IMG]

                      GTFOOH!

Loma gave away 11lbs in weight on the night so that the fight could go ahead. That's a lightweight against a full blown welterweight, a huge difference with guys this size.
He took a real risk of being, not just beaten, but dominated and blown away, along with his "star" status and all the big money fights that go with it.
He might not have deserved a title fight to begin with, but damned right they owe him another shot for taking a risk like that. And with a better ref, I think he would have pulled it off too.
