For him to have gotten the first title shot was a joke. A 2nd shot right after losing would only comfirm just how much of a joke it is. And the making history part is probably the biggest joke of all. These networks and promoters really think boxing fans are ******.

Loma gave away 11lbs in weight on the night so that the fight could go ahead. That's a lightweight against a full blown welterweight, a huge difference with guys this size.
He took a real risk of being, not just beaten, but dominated and blown away, along with his "star" status and all the big money fights that go with it.
He might not have deserved a title fight to begin with, but damned right they owe him another shot for taking a risk like that. And with a better ref, I think he would have pulled it off too.

And yes, him getting a title shot after one pro fight is terrible. For all the complaining about the corrupt ref (which is well warranted) a lot of people keep forgetting that Loma didn't deserve a title shot in the first place.

The guy arguably beat a proven veteran with a weight advantage in his second profesional fight, and he isn't worthy of a tittle shot?

Salido is a tough hombre but he pulled a Castillo here by not trying too hard to make weight imo. That put Lomachenko at a big disadvantage but I still thought the Russian would be way too slick from the start and would have a big lead by halfway. Didn't happen. Loma isn't going anywhere, though. He can still be a pro stand out and even though his ego took a knock here he went the full twelve just fine and didn't cry the place down over Salido's punches getting homesick in the targeting department.

You mean an out of shape,sluggish, shop worn and fat salido. That loma struggled against and looked like crap against. No loma doest deserve another title shot. He needs to get his a$$$ at the end of the line like every other prospect.
