Cole did nothing about them, but stepped in to stop the action when Salido was in trouble? FOH
I agree, I think Weltschmerz likes to stir the pot.

Reality is, Cole should have warned Salido, taken points but he should have also warned Lomanchenko about holding.

It was a bad ref job from the beginning. Salido I think did enough to win the fight, landed the better shots until the last round and out worked Lomanchenko.

Saying that the young Ukrainian has a bright future in boxing.

One thing I don't see anyone mentioning is he went 12 rounds with a seasoned vet in his second fight. Gotta give him some credit just for that.

He also almost knocked out that seasoned vet in the twelfth rd despite never going past 4-5 rds I think in his life. Plushy Salido was a damn welterweight. Smh

This is akin to blaming a **** victim for wearing revealing clothing

Taking focus and blame away from the guilty party by reprimanding the victim for not preventing the act from reocurring

No, Salido should have been warned up to the point where points were taken

FYI, some sports books gave 4:1 on Lomachenko, Cole was obviously all over that, lets be real here

One slows the action down, the other hurts and wears down the opponent. It's getting tiresome seeing these incompetent officials, from the refs to the judges. The sport is a circus.
There were 60 clinches in the fight and Loma held no more than 45.

I counted the clinches for the first 6 rounds and they were 23 so o average less than 4 per round. It wasn't nearly as bad as Wlad vs Povetkin or Devon vs Maidana. And Cole only broke off maybe 7 8 clinches, they were getting out of there themselves.

                  How about those clinches?

I rather someone get KO'ed from a low blow than to watch a hugg fest.

Someone needs to take note and do the same to Richard Abril.

90% of Salido's clinches were probably in the last 2 rounds. That was hilarious.
