Salido was tying up his arms in, I think, the last three rounds and nothing was done about that either. So, you have a complaint about Lomachenko clinching. The other guy came in over weight, throwing low blows, and clinching.

Loma didn't do all that bad either. I think the guy can beat a lot of guys around that weight division.

At this very moment, the kid is way too clean for the pro game. He should've (in this order) 1. complained, 2. punched Salido in the stones, 3. fell to the canvass in agony. No way Cole could've missed all those fouls. I'm glad Lampley tore into him for his incompetence on national TV.

LOL at these idiots 'Salido came in as a pro, he taught Loma how the pro game is, etc'. He came in fighting dirty as hell and got a gift decision, obviously via corruption. Lomachenko is a much better fighter than Salido.

even though I was supporting Vasya, I re-watched the fight twice and still surprise how half the forum think Salido actually won the fight. I agree that I thought Loma will drop him, but that didn't happen. but still - it's a plain robbery and if you don't see it, you simply hate on vasya

At some point I believe Salido realized he wasn't being scrutinized for straying low, so he went slap happy with the idea of playing dirty. I'm not sure how much of a difference it would have made against a 2x Olympic Gold medalist who otherwise proved less than stellar. Boxing isn't a game.
If you're fighting for a world title then you best bring it, don't expect to be serenaded with praise and promise of gold in your second professional fight. Take it from him. Lomanchenko's professionalism was commendable, but nobleness doesn't win fights. I suspect he'll remember this the next time he steps into the title picture. His one saving grace is that this setback came early in his career. He's proven he can cope with a difficult loss.
I'll be watching to see where his talents take him on the rebound trail & wishing him all the best in his return. Here's to you, ailing Lomo's. Your boy's got MAJOR stones, heh.

any good experienced veteran doesn't need to resort to fouling and making a boxing match into a street fight...
