Of course not they are two different people and if Rigondeaux was the one taking a loss it wouldn't make Lomachenko look any better either. The dude has 2 pro fights, and his team fked up because they believed their own hype simple as that the pro's are not the ams, and you cannot take for granted that your greatness as an amateur will translate perfectly to a professional style immediately.
I bet Rigondeaux would have jumped if given the same chance Lomachenko got gifted to him in his second pro fight, but it would have been just as ****** even if he won.
On a side note it is sad if you are a fan of Rigo, and Lomachenko not being as good as a pro is a loss for Rigondeaux in terms of future opponents and great W for his resume, and more than anything olympic bragging rights that would have come from being the one to stop the Loma express. But Salido does not give a fk he keeps up fking up dream matches lolLast edited by DannYankee; 03-03-2014, 04:17 AM.

Rigo would beat Donaire in his first pro fight ! and I am not exaggerating her !
Rigo K.O the likes of Salido easily, Salido wouldn't land a total of 10 punches in the whole fight !
But to be fair, Rigo vs Lomachenko would be an exciting fight, Lomachenko would put a better display than Salido fight, because Rigo style is very clean, no holding, no low blows, no dirty tactics at all, it will be Tom and Jerry match

But Loma was being touted by some as the next Rigo. Regardless of how the fight played out (ref, low blows, scoring etc...), do you feel seeing Loma having been "cut from the same cloth" as Rigo, struggling and losing, shows just how remarkable and how difficult it is to accomplish what Rigo did in under 10 fights (not counting Donaire). In other words is Loma's loss Rigo's win ?

He'd of had a decent win and some momentum and it would of been two of the greatest amateurs to ever live going at it for all the marbles.
Rigondeaux would of absolutely destroyed Lomachenko and captured another world title in another division.
Rigo is probably a bit gutted he lost especially with the lack of opponents lining up.
